John, It should be able to enable the trip computer. The F indicates that there is a problem with the outside air sensor or circuit, it defaults to F when it can't get a reading.
I read the post about pressing BC but getting "no function" .The topic went on to cruise control. Can I ask a similar question.
I bought my Antara 2 weeks ago on a Friday (you will see why I put this ) and couldnt have been more happy I love the car . A few days ago I thought the display was stuck on F for friday so after reading the manual I read press BC button ,I got NO Function ,on further reading I found that F was for fault but the car runs like a dream .
So can you give me some advice does my Antara 2009 Diesel auto E spec not have the BC function or has someone disabled it .
I realise I have to have the laptop tech stuff done now ,but not by a main dealer I hope .Anyone in the Merseyside area who can recommend a specialist.
Thanks in advance John.

Hi Richard .
Thanks for your reply. How would I enable the trip computer ? Is it a case of buying the module from Vauxhall and fitting it ?
Re the "F" ont the screen . Its not a message saying anything else then? So it cant get information from the temp side thats all ?.When I googled it it gave so many scary possibilities -crank sensor -gearbox sensor - suspension levelers . If this is the case I can put my face out the window and see how cold it is outside and not worry. Thanks John.
F on screen - check temp sensor in front bumper
That's the most annoying thing with this, there is no module to add, all the information the board computer needs is already passing around the canbus network, the display just needs to be told to listen for it and do the necessary calculations.
Vauxhall will definitely struggle, I can do it and I'm sure AS Autocare in Widnes could do it for you (Link at the bottom of the page)
